Demonios, para llorar...regeneraciones cada 200 Kms...
It is totally unacceptable that Mazda advises that the vehicle is not suited to short trips AFTER you have already purchased it. At no stage during the purchase process did any sales rep ever mention this fact to me nor query the type of driving I did.
exactly my beef with Mazda – I'd be happy for them to give me my money back to take the car off my hands
but
When I was on holidays a while back I did 2 weeks of mostly long trips (we weren't near any town centre) and it was within that time that the oil level went from about 1/3 past full at 4000km to over X at 6000km
I get DPF regens every 200km regardless of how far I drive (sometimes less – about 170 but almost never more – a couple at 220) – even after the "reset"
ExactY the same as what I get. The regen typically takes around 7-10 minutes to complete.
I recently got my oil changed after reaching the X level. Mazda told me that my car had done 66 Regens for 4500kms. That a regen every 68Kms...
I mainly drive short trips during the week but travel once a month between Sydney and Canberra.
That suggests to me that a lot of regens were interrupted and that each "restart" of the regen is counted as a new one.
Right from the start, the theory has been that interrupted regens cause the excessive increase in oil levels.
Every diesel owner should do themselves a favour and learn the signs of a regen occurring and (if possible) go for a bit of a drive to avoid interrupting it. Use Trip B to record the distance between regens so you know roughly when to expect the next one.
Eso es lo que yo vengo haciendo. Esta imagen es de esta tarde. El Trip B marca los Kms desde la última regeneración conocida:
